With its extended length of rubber, it allows you to easily reach and place the hook over the bridle of your existing speargun rubber. Pull on the load assist rubber and use your free hand to grip the powerband when it reaches the loading notch on your shaft. Once the loading process is complete, the assist will naturally release and float to the surface for easy retrieval upon surfacing.
