I have loaded my Shimano TLD25 with 450m of 24kg of Fluro Green line. My first test is the abrasion test by rubbing the line along the alloy gunnel. Passed with flying colours. Other lines I have used show damage and weakness with this sort of abuse, resulting in loss of good fish.
The second test is stretch, the Shogun line has a reduced amount of stretch compared to previous lines, but this is favourable to behave as a shock absorber for fast hitting pelagics. It ticks the boxes for me.
