Cressi Quantum Itaca Ultra Mask Snorkel Set

This Cressi set includes the new scuba diving and snorkelling mask, the Quantum combined with the latest Cressi Ultra Dry Snorkel, the Itaca.

Building on the foundations set by Cressi Big Eyes Evolution mask the new Quantum mask also offers enhanced downward vision and also avoids the fogging phenomenon through the internal thermoregulation of the warm, damp air exiting the nose. This air is channelled by a system of membranes set in the moulding around the eyes and nose and deviating the flow towards the rubber skirt rather than the lenses.

The external part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The effect is that the temperature inside mask drops, coming closer to the external temperature and the droplets of humidity are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.

Despite the presence of the small internal membranes deviating the air flow and the external heat exchangers, the body of the Quantum mask is nonetheless compact and represents the most advanced design offered on the underwater vision market. The lenses are not treated chemically so it is always a good idea to clean the lenses when new and use saliva prior to diving or snorkelling use.

A patented membrane surrounding the inner nose pocket and both the inner eyes pockets which acts as a barrier and traps any moisture which naturally escapes as you breathe through the mouth. The result is that not only is the moisture channelled away from the lenses, thus avoiding the fogging up of them, but it also reduces the need to compensate for pressure.

The internal volume of the Cressi Quantum Mask is also reduced giving the feeling of enhanced vision.  Superlight and easy to adjust mask strap buckles which can be pivoted to provide the perfect angle and position on the face. Even the mask strap gets a makeover making it really comfortable on the back of the head to enhance fit and comfort. 

Cressi Itaca Ultra Dry Snorkel helps you breathe with confidence and explore the underwater world. The Itaca snorkel has been streamlined to reduce drag from the water and as the name suggests it is great for snorkelling, keeping the water out of the snorkel when diving below the surface. This Dry snorkel features an internationally patented dry top guard, which prevents water entry when under the water. The new mechanical dry guard has three movement joints, whose counterweight ensures immediate opening of the upper valve whether you dive or emerge from the water.

The lower part of the snorkel features a flexible corrugated section with smooth to help minimise possible breathing resistance.  The compact soft silicone mouthpiece is angled for better positioning while in the mouth and has a reduced bite size for prolonged use without gum fatigue. The mouthpiece body consists of two pieces, with an inclination that ensures better and faster water drainage. A lower purge valve enables instant clearing when needed.
