Berkley Gulp Paddle Shad Soft Plastic Lure - 3 inch

I’m a huge fan of the gulp range. I heard about these and thought they sounded good. My first impression after receiving them (very quickly dispatched, thanks Davo) was that they looked excellent. I opened the pack and was surprised to find they did not have the usual gulp smell, they are much closer to an aqua prawn in smell, more like mild vegemite, less like the pack of prawns you wish you’d thrown away a week earlier. I did rigged one up, did a quick test swim next to the boat, more action than I have experienced with any other gulp product. I would confidently say, these are a totally different formula to other gulp products I have used. My first cast, I hooked a bream, it hit and held hard, to be honest, it was so quick I wasn’t expecting it and hadn’t set the hook, but all was well. I quickly snagged up the lure after catching this fish and I have yet to rig another, but I am very keen to. These have as much action as a slim swim but with the extra edge of the gulp. They also seem tougher than the usual gulp, although I snagged up too soon to be sure.
