Abu Garcia Volatile Spin Rod

A very sensitive, light and well balanced rod. - I have paired it up with a Daiwa 2500 reel spooled with 6 lb braid. - Add a Daiwa Double Clutch Lure (yellow / green colour) and you have to catch fish.

I got this to replace a Rayrex (croc hunter) 7' light rod, which was my favourite rod until my partner stepped on it. Although the Volatile has same rating as the Rayrex (both 2-4kg), the Volatile seems a little softer but more lively. I use it in my kayak and have landed a 1.9kg trevally that was really fun and put the rod through its paces. It casts soft plastics effortlessly. As a bonus, the royal blue colour is real eye candy.

The rod is what I was hoping it would be, essentially a very good rod at a very discounted price. Come in a polypipe which can be used ongoing as travel storage or attached to the roof rack as a bonus (way better than the cardboard ones some rods are delivered in).
