PENN fishing tackle have redesigned the Dura-Drag system in the Slammer IV to not only be better sealed but also to offer a wider range of usable drag, all while being bearing supported for additional smoothness. The Slammer IV is built upon a proven platform of an IPX6 sealed body and spool from the PENN Slammer III range. The new and highly desired Slammer 2500 size, a small but stout addition to the Slammer family, is packed with HT-100 drag technology.
Additionally, the Ocean Assassins are built using SLS3 construction. SLS3 construction uses inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fibre to sandwich middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass. The spiral wraps maintain a round cross section in the blank when under load which helps the blank handle higher loads.
Utilising the latest 9-carrier technology, the Berkley X9 Braided Line compliments this combo/package nicely. Offering an extremely smooth and strong line designed for optimal strength and casting distance. Featuring a 9-carrier construction with a PE core, the Berkley X9 Braided Line is extremely round and smoothly flows through guides for increased casting distance. Its high strand construction also enhances wear resistance for fishing over rugged structure and provides higher knot strength.
