This particular Watersnake has a 65lb thrust and a 54'' (Inch) shaft length. the shaft length is the measurement found from the base of the motor head to the top of the propeller shaft. it is important when selecting the right shaft length for your boat to consider whether the motor will be long enough to keep the propeller in the water when wave height increases but not so low that it hits objects in shallow water.
