The Two Speed advantage is deadly on fish. there are countless situations in which you can put the Two Speed advantage to work for you. Suppose you’re trolling and you get a strike, it’s a Tuna and you’ve got the arduous chore of pumping and winding it up to the surface. You gear down to low and start working the fish up, the low gear ratio gives you power when you need it.
Then the line goes slack and the fish is running towards you, easy, just shift back to high gear and crank up that slack line.
Examples of using High or Low gear could go on and on but to put it simply, you would use High gear when you need Speed and Low gear when Speed is of no concern but putting pressure on the fish is.
