The Shimano Descent Type J Rod series is engineered for anglers who demand strength, precision, and control when slow pitch jigging in challenging saltwater environments. Built from solid 724 carbon blanks, these rods deliver exceptional lifting power while maintaining the responsive flex and recovery needed to work slow pitch jigs, octa jigs, and heavy soft plastics with lifelike action.
The one-piece construction ensures durability and resilience against powerful fish, while the lightweight custom carbon reel seat provides comfort and stability during long sessions. Outfitted with corrosion-resistant Seaguide SS316 guides, the Descent Type J is designed to withstand harsh marine conditions and deliver smooth line flow.
