Description
Expride is Shimano's Japanese domestic lure casting range, and the 2022 series is built around Hi-Power X blank construction. Carbon tape is wrapped diagonally over the outer layer of the blank to form a series of X shapes, with the width of the tape and the winding angle tuned model by model. The blank resists twisting under load as a result, so what you put into a cast or a hookset goes where you aimed it instead of being lost in the blank.
The rear grip is a Carbon Monocoque butt, a hollow carbon moulding that replaces the conventional handle build. It sheds weight and lifts vibration transfer into the hand by up to 30 per cent, which is the difference between feeling a lure tick the bottom and guessing at it. Above it sit a CI4+ reel seat and a Fuji SiC guide train, both chosen for light weight and for running braid cleanly, with high grade cork through the grip assembly and a hook keeper fitted as standard.
The spin models run from a 5'9" ultra light through to a 7'0" medium heavy, covering presentations from 1.5g out to 30g. They suit Australian lure fishing across a wide spread of targets including but not limited to bream, bass, flathead, trout and jungle perch.

We ship a large volume of rods daily and we are proud to say we have refined our shipping technique to ensure all rods are delivered in perfect condition.
Rod are fully insulated with high density bubble wrap. After this, rods are inserted into a purpose built and cut to size rod tube which is professionally capped at each end.
