One of the best and most well-known spearfishing companies in the world, Rob Allen has a long South African history. Rob Allen spent many years working as a fisherman in South Africa, but the day he made the decision to jump into the water altered the course of his life forever because he became fascinated by fish behaviour and the underwater environment for spear fishing and spearguns.
During this time, Rob started modifying his own speargun to make it more effective and precise. Eventually, he started building his own Rob Allen spearguns. The spearos initially thought Rob Allen's spearguns were too large, but once they were in the water, they realised the weapons worked perfectly with the surroundings and people were spearing fish they had never speared before.
Rob quit his job in 1988 to start his own business after receiving numerous requests to build spearguns, and he hasn't looked back since. Since then, Rob Allen has broadened their selection to include all the equipment a diver needs for Australian spearfishing.
