Alvey Reels

Alvey reels are used for many fishing styles in Australia, including beach, boat and river fishing techniques.

The distinctive and easily familiar side cast Alvey Reel, mounted on an extremely long fishing rod, and cast from one of Australia's beaches towards a beachside gutter, brings with it a rich heritage of Australian angling tradition.

Alvey side cast reels are made in accordance with best practises, and they are actually so durable that, if they come into contact with beach sand, they may be quickly rinsed in the seawater to clean them off. Although Alvey reels have a reputation for being sturdy, many competitive anglers prefer them for a variety of other reasons as well.
