The PENN Conflict II features stealthy cosmetics, a Lightweight design (our lightest spinning reel ever), and silky smooth HT-100 drag. The RR30 Rigid Resin body and rotor are extremely lightweight and durable. Internally the Conflict II is powered with our CNC Gear Technology, and high quality stainless steel ball bearings. With the Superline Spool™ no backing is needed because of the rubber gasket that keeps superlines from slipping.

Penn Conflict 2500

Great little reel. Pull's a lot of weight for its size. Nice light and sturdy design. Looks and feels like a top range reel. When reeling in has a very firm action; I could not detect any flex or play in the action. Unlike cheaper carbon-fiber bodied reels this reel is quite solid. Would recommend for those trying match a light reel with a light rod but still want something that can still handle a few pounds. With braid, this reel is rated up to 10kgs or 20 lbs. The spool only takes up to 160 yards of braid at this weight but if you drop the line weight you can get up to 255 yards; if you use 5lb mono or 240 yards for 10lb braid. I have always been a fan of Penn reels and this reel certainly meets my expectations.

Penn Conflict 2500 spin reel

This is a very nice compact reel brilliant for flicking soft plastics or using bait prawns for brim and flathead in the Noosa River. I have matched it to a Savage Black 4-6kg rod and loaded with 15lb Rovex braid and 20lb leader. I just love this reel and the price was a real bonus.
