Driven into the brain cavity just above and behind the eye, it kills the fish instantly, which stops nerve activity and the build-up of lactic acid in the flesh - the reason iki jime is so widely used by anglers who care about how their catch eats.

The curved stainless steel spike sits in a moulded, high-visibility handle that gives far more control than an improvised screwdriver or knife point, and it stores inside a protective cover when it is not in use. A lanyard is fitted to the handle so it stays with you on a wet deck, and there is a bottle opener moulded into the grip. Compact enough for a tackle box, pocket or boat setup, it also doubles as an ice pick. Designed in Western Australia.

Features

Purpose-built for the iki jime (ike jime) method of dispatch

Curved stainless steel spike

Protective spike cover

Moulded high-visibility handle for grip and control

Lanyard fitted to the handle

Built-in bottle opener

Also works as an ice pick

Supports better flesh quality and eating quality in fish you keep

Suits the boat, beach, jetty or tackle box

Designed in Western Australia
