The fixed extender gives you the correct height off the deck and the G-Hold gives tight retention for the trolling motor shaft. The support is easily removed from the StarPort when not in use, clearing the deck for fishing.

Great easy to use, secure fitting. This has multiple uses. I currently use this to secure and support a transducer pole in my boat for when stowing away. I also use another to support an electric motor arm to support and take any vibration away whilst in transport from location to location on the road to boat ramp. Great product would highly recommend.
